A lot of what I end up diy-ing is because I'm too cheap to pay someone to make it or buy it. Also because I am very particular; not a snob, nor a foodie, but I like what I like and I want it the way I want -- some people like to call it 'stubborn'. But definitely driven by the imaginary notches I make on my imaginary "I can do that!" belt.
I am very much my father's daughter-- an engineer's daughter. I take pride in being able to macgyver my way out of almost everything.
But all of this is, of course, driven by the fact that I'm inherently lazy- I don't like wasting time on testing things, I'd rather research the entire internet for the perfect combinations of recipes and tutorials to get it right the first time. I know the limits of my creativity and more importantly - what if it comes out bad?! What a waste of time...and money! And while I'd like to say it's because I don't like wastage, sadly, it's because, again,
I'm too cheap.
So this is my life -- pirated.
